It has been confirmed by M Pie Francois, that the acclaimed television program, The Jersey Shore has been discontinued after the airing of it's sixth season.  Plaidmania believes that both Republican and Democratic conventions should be postponed for a week.  Also, Plaidmania believes that all College Football and NFL games should be postponed for two weeks. 

It will not be the same without the Situation, JWOWW, Sammy Sweetheart, Vinny, Pauly D, Ronnie, Snookie, Deena, Ryder, Uncle Vinny, and the various other characters who have inspired us all.  Americans and especially Italian-Americans should be outraged over MTV's selfish decision.  Perhaps the major networks of either ABC, CBS, Fox, or NBC could show some decency and broadcast this show.

Today it was announced that Apple Inc. is worth the most according to its market capitalization. Imagine now, that you had the foresight back in October 14, 2002.  Now imagine that along with foresight that you had $5,000.00 to invest in the stock market.  That would now be $473,586.80 at market close on August 20, 2012.

Let it be known, that Pie Francois is working on a time machine, it just needs a flux capacitor, and I will take some of the fans of this blog with me.

Saint Anthony of Padua: Citizen/Saint of the Day

Saint Anthony of Padua (actually he was from Lisbon, Portugal) is Plaidmania's Saint of the day! I wish that I posted this on June 13th, St. Anthony's Feast Day. He is the patron saint of lost items and I have prayed to Saint Anthony many times when I had lost my television's remote control or had misplaced the keys to the car. Therefore, I feel St. Anthony should be honored by Plaidmania. So, if you lose an item today (I hope you don't) you can pray to St. Anthony and say, "Hey, congratulations! You are Plaidmania's Citizen mmm... I mean Saint of the Day!"

Francois Wins Election in France

Do not worry fellow plaidmeisters, Pie Francois has not won the French Presidency. Though the question begs to be asked, Is this the end of austerity? Well, the short answer is, stay tuned to plaidmania.

Many people are not as lucky as I. Sorry, but that is just a simple fact. Earlier in the evening I had aconversation with this nice woman at the virtual bar. As the night was swimmingly moving along, this woman let me on a secret. It turns out that I had been talking to Selena Gomez. I was awe-struck, this was the best three hours that I have spent on Second Life, (with the exception of listening to people from the UK talk about their STDs). Therefore, I have decided to make Miss Gomez, Plaidmania's Latest Citizen of the Day!

Well, it is amazing that this avatar, Markiz Sorbet, was overlooked as a Plaidmania Citizen of the Day. When the board of Plaidmania contacted Ms. Sorbet, she was not at all surprised. This is a great accomplishment, DestinyOne has lived in Tehran for ten years, she finally was able to leave the country. She is the first Iranian to become Citizen of the Day.
